Fabric!

Last night, the five of us girls all went out to this fun music club called "Fabric" that everyone's been recommending.  We had a little difficulty finding it because the buses that we thought we'd be able to take to get there weren't running for some reason, but when we finally got there everyone was still "queueing" to get in so we were fine.  We ended up waiting in the queue for about THREE HOURS!  It was insane, there were sooo many people trying to get in.  I was worried I'd miss the DJs that I wanted to see, but by the time we finally got in they hadn't even started their set yet, so I was very happy.

The club was totally jampacked, but it was a really cool place.  It had a bunch of different rooms with different DJs spinning (or whatever you call that, haha), and then some like little sitting areas to just hang out in.  I'm glad that I've found a good group of girls who are fun to go out with, because we all had a really awesome time!!!

Can't wait to go again sometime!! :)

We went to the Carnelian Room last night with friends of Pams who are visiting from New Orleans, this is a super fancy restaurant at the top of the Bank of America building in SF, known for its view. The view was fantastic, you could see the whole east bay, Mt. Diablo, everywhere . . . except Berkeley, which had a huge billow of fog engulfing it. Don't you miss Cal!! Cal opens football season tonight, starting quarterback is NOT Nate Longshore, they gave the starting job to Riley, they open against Michigan, I'll let you know how it goes. Dad.

that sounds like a lot of fun! you guys are sooo fancy and high class sometimes, it's funny. although i am a bit sad to be missing the season opener (as well as the rest of my last football season at cal), i am very happy to be here instead of in berkeley. i like it here, and berkeley is foggy and miserable and semi-boring. :) hopefully riley doesn't mess anything up though....let me know the outcome.

Hi! I think I just left a long, artsy and amusing post (right terminology?) but had to sign up first. So if you got it, disregard this, if not...HI!! So glad to hear of your adventures in London. I LOVE it there... we spent some time there, Barry, Hailie and I. Imagine young Hailie ordering a "limonade" at pubs everywhere... I love hanging out at Trafalger square... enjoy it, sounds like classes are fun. Anything besides theater? And you are probably going to Paris, or are you back. Can we come over for thanksgiving? We cant decide where to eat here! You know us and eating! Anyways, Id best be gone now... Love you, I feel so techno blogging. Who thought up that word anyways? Love ya luv, d

oh yay!! i'm so glad that you too have mastered the blogging techniques neccessary to write on this thing. and yes, i think one might call it "posting" a comment on my blog. i love love love london. it's such a cool and amazing and interesting city! it's only been 10 days, but i'm already starting to figure things out a bit more, which is nice. i have not been to trafalgar square yet, but i think i'll probably visit soon, as it's an important tourist site. i would LOVE visitors!!! if you can figure out coming all the way over here, i will make room in my schedule to see you guys! my other classes are british cinema, london society (sociology), ancient cultures in the british museum class, and then my drama class. all very easy of course. i'll post more about them later! miss you guys, hope all is well at home, and love you very much. :)

Ok, for your 2008 Cal Bears go to my blog, I posted two video clips from yesterday's Cal vs. Michigan State game, which cal won. Kevin Riley looked great, Longshore threw 2 interceptions and was out the rest of the game. Go to www.ibikeandwork.blogspot.com
